The tour begins from a visit to the Daniel Johnson’s Sloths Park- AJ’s Monkeys & Sloths after you are picked up from the cruised ship port at your arrival. And within some odd 20 minutes ride in an air-conditioned bus admiring the scenic Roatan landscape you will reach the much-loved stop at this tropical island.

Daniel Johnson’s Sloths Park- Monkeys & Sloths is the haven that had started as a hobby to rescue injured and abandoned animals which then turned into a home for some adorable creatures. The experience of visiting this wildlife hangout will bless you with a heavenly feeling as you hold the sloths close to your heart and receive a warm, friendly hug from them in return. Moreover, seeing the rare White Faced Monkeys and
capturing the moment as they jump on your shoulders is once in a lifetime episode.

The next stop of the Island Tour at the Roatan Chocolate Factory is equally loved by both kids and grown-ups. A tour of this dreamy place, that takes pride in 100% pure, organic and natural cacao chocolate, is a dream come true for chocolate lovers. What makes this tour even more desirable is the fact that you can feast on try-out free sample of homemade chocolate made up of cent percent Honduran cocoa beans. From milk chocolate island coconut to raw cacao chocolate with sea salt to cacao chocolate with Chile, you’ll be spoilt for all these delicious choices. Visitors can relish these combinations as they listen to the experts share the secret to chocolate making.

Roatan Rum Company is the destination that is world-famous for its incomparable Rum Cake that will awaken all your senses and leave you wanting for more. Located between West End and West Bay across the main road from the Roatan lighthouse, this venue isn’t only famous for its rum-delicacies but also the panoramic view of the island and the Caribbean Sea. It’s a perfect place to savor free samples of their artisan rums and cakes while you enjoy the authentic Roatan view before you set off for the last stop of the day.

The tour comes to an end as you reach West Bay Beach where you can unwind yourself after a fun day exploring the gems the island has on a platter for its visitors. Watching the spectacular view of the sunset while lying on the comfy beach chairs, is definitely the best way to bring an end to the unforgettable tour.

Today we visited Roatan with Jensen as our island tour guide. He gave us a good overview of the island geography and history. Super friendly and extremely accommodating. We saw exactly what we wanted, which was the sloths, monkeys, beach and some local places. Everyone got to hold the animals and get plenty of pictures, and left with some great memories. We even got to taste some exotic dishes which was unexpected and awesome.
